Ana Vasić specializes in historically informed performance practice.
Born in Slovenia, Postojna, Ana embarked on her music path learning violin at Sežana music school with Miroslava Stojković and Ljubljana high-school Conservatory with professors Tatjana Špragar and Vasilij Meljnikov. She was receiving lessons at Santa Cecilia Music Foundation Portogruaro with prof. Ilya Grubert, and at Leopold Mozart Institut at Universität Mozarteum Salzburg with prof. Wonji Kim Ozim.
In 2011, Ana moved to Amsterdam continuing violin study in the class of prof. Ilya Grubert and prof. Kees Koelmans. In the Netherlands she discovered her passion for historically informed performance practice, taking violin lessons with Sophie Gent, Shunske Sato, Sayuri Yamagata, and masterclasses with musicians such as Lucy van Dael, Anner Bijlsma, and Sigiswald Kuijken. Ana continued to study historical violin at ESMUC (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya) in Barcelona with prof. Emilio Moreno, and concluded in 2019 with highest distinction.
Ana established herself as a freelance musician active in the Netherlands and abroad. She is a founding member of string quartet Vier32, early music ensemble La Voz Humana, string quintet ArteVita, and Romberg duo. She regurarly plays with Concerto d'Amsterdam, Barokorkest La Sorpresa, Tulipa Consort, Amsterdam Corelli Collective, Antiphonus (Zagreb), Giardino Musicale and Bremer Barockorchester.
